Luxurious Wood Turning
The passion that lies behind every exquisite turning is Jon´s desire to reveal the best natural features in each piece. He reveals the hidden beauty within the initial mass of wood. Through his combination of woodcarving and turning, Jon masterpieces forms that harmoniously integrate with and emphasise the natural grain flow, beauty and even irregularities, of the wood itself.
Jon´s aspiration is to create turned and carved wooden pieces that are eye-catching, with a unique and an individual character.

Inspirational Wood Carving
Jon Hart´s wood carvings have concentrated on sculpting the human form and inspirational animal figures. Although wood selection can vary from project to project, Lime is the prefered medium for indoor carvings as it is very stable, is soft enough to be carved and yet firm enough to hold a precisely cut surface well.
Hand gouges and chisels, are used on projects ensuring the hand crafted excellence from Jon Harts work. On some larger work powered tools may be utilised for rough cutting to remove bulk material.
